- Workshop on Monday, March 12, 2007, 1:30pm to 9pm, at Van Buren conference Center in Lawrence, MI: Filling the Gaps–Local Government’s Important Role in Environmental Protection with Mark Wyckoff, FAICP.(To register call Marcy at (269) 925-1137, ext. 25). There is a $10 registration fee, which covers a light dinner.
- Workshop at Lake Michigan College in South Haven, Wednesday, March 14: Wetlands 101, FREE.
- Upcoming Training Opportunity: Michigan Lake and Stream Leader’s Institute. Partnering with Michigan State University, this program seeks to train local land/water resource leaders to promote preservation and encourage other citizens to seek resource management. - Celery Pond Advocates Second Fundraiser on Friday, April 20th, 6-8pm: Join us to raise monies to save the wetland and celebrate Earth Day, strolling through a Savory Light Dinner, with wine & champagne. Suzie Blair will be donating her culinary cuisine, with Annie Brown and Jeff Filbrandt donating use of their newly remodeled home for the event. Speakers to be announced. Tickets will be on sale at the Hardware Store and at Whimsy after March 19th.
- Earth Day is on Sunday, April 22nd. CPA asks everyone to join us in our Third Community Walk, on Earth Day, time/location to be announced.
Also note: There will be a Celery Pond Advocates meeting on Tuesday, March 13, at 4:30pm at the South Haven Public Library.
